So I've been reading some Gilmore Girl fanfics at Black & White & Read and loving it.  It's wierd... I really really miss writing!  I used to write stuff all the time--fanfics, short stories, oneshots and attempts at longterm stuff.  But it was fun.  Of course, that's when I had more time.  I had it all: outlines, favorite quote collections, ten chapters, tons of ideas... But then the shows started taking more time, the homework piled up, and I started having more of a life offline.  Things change, I suppose.  Wierd, ain't it?

But in the car today, on the way back from San Francisco, I started plotting another story.  Not anything super exciting, just another teenage love story based on my life and such.  But it felt so great--exciting.  I had something to work on, something that would end up being purely mine.  An activity when I was bored.

When I got home, I wrote a rough outline in funny little paragraph form and started writing clips of scenes.  It's no good yet; heck, who knows if I'll even finish it, but I like knowing I have something to work on.  Something that I could make great.  First time I've worked on something like this in a while.  I attempted something for the NaNoWriMo--National Novel Writers Month (writing a novel in a month)--but it didn't work.  I didn't have enough stamina and couldn't concentrate.  Not to mention I couldn't think of a good enough idea.  I did get 8,000 of the 50,000 words written, so that's pretty impressive for me! =)

So there's reading, and writing, so now to music.  I was listening to stuff on my iPod on the drive home, lots of stuff, and I want to get it online for last.fm.  Except its running out of battery (again.... grr!!!), so I had to charge it.  And I can't use the computer to charge it, since I'd have to unplug it too soon and the battery would get screwed up... again... so I'm waiting for it to charge in my room.  But I still can't listen to anything on iTunes on the computer until I upload the new info.... So I'm stuck listening to Yahoo! Radio.  It's not bad.  I'm currently listening to the Kelly Clarkson fan station, which has some good stuff.  Even if half of it is Kelly and the other half is Ashlee Simpson.  I mean, come on! I want some new kinds of people, someone new.
